Fiber Optic Sensors

Sensors designed, developed and manufactured by Micron Optics are denoted by the small Micron Optics Tuned logo. These sensors are vigorously tested using methods adopted from ASTM standard E251. All Micron Optics sensors go through a series of temperature, humidity, fatigue and vibration test. In addition, they are tested for interoperability with all Micron Optics Instruments. Sensors distributed by Micron Optics are guaranteed to be compatible with the Micron Optics line of Optical Sensing Interrogators.

Each sensor is provided with a datasheet with detailed specifications that will help you choose the right sensor for your application. In some cases we offer comparative data that shows, for example, how a particular fiber optic strain gage performs relative to other technologies like electronic foil strain gages or vibrating wire strain gages.
