2008- Micron Optics Announces New Advances in the sm130 Optical Sensing Interrogator
Atlanta - Micron Optics, Inc. announces exciting advances in the sm130,
Micron Optics' dynamic Optical Sensing Interrogator. The sm130, currently deployed
in hundreds of applications around the world, now has the option of two times
the sensor capacity or two times the speed. The increase in scanning range to
over 160 nm now means more sensors per channel; up to 640 sensors on four fibers. (read

2007 - Micron Optics/FiberSensing Announce New Portable Interrogator for FBG Sensors
Maia/Atlanta - FiberSensing, S.A., Portugal, and Micron Optics Inc., USA,
announce the release of a new Portable Measurement Unit for fiber Bragg grating
(FBG) based sensors. The unit combines the Micron Optics' robust, wide scanning,
high power, low-noise swept laser source with FiberSensing's integrated and portable

Atlanta- Micron Optics Inc, an optical monitoring
system provider in Atlanta announces that they will donate an optical monitoring
system to a department of transportation for a public bridge. Optical Monitoring

February 2007 - Micron Optics releases the si920 vibration
mode analyzer
ATLANTA - Micron Optics, Inc. has already delivered
the first si920 units to waiting customers. This new high sensitivity, high speed
optical sensing interrogator is capable of monitoring and analyzing vibration
modes on FBG sensors on up to four simultaneous channels with acquisition rates
as fast as 500kHz on a single channel or 100kHz on four parallel channels. read
